The Business Model Canvas provides a holistic view of the business as a whole through a set of comprehensive components. Before beginning model development, it is critical to perform a comparative analysis of the input to each table to understand the impact of company investments and other contributing factors.
However, understanding the model has never been easy. To make the model more understandable for users, I have prepared and presented some examples of business model canvases using the template. For the preparation of the example, I focus on five businesses from different sectors that have different aspects and challenges. The example companies belong to the following industries.
For a shared economy business, it is necessary for the company to guarantee the value proposition for both the partners and the client. The following Business Model Canvas example shows that Uber’s segmentation is also geodemographic, as the service appears to employ drivers who live in areas with the highest unemployment rates.

With the same products, service, platform, or technology, some fail and some succeed. The final results of the business depend on the model you choose and the interpretation of the information in blocks. Understanding how the approach works and implementing it into your own process is completely different. However, the examples can help you at least find where to start from and get the wheels turning in the right direction.
In most cases, the business plan did not work the way the entrepreneur intended. The only way to be prepared and effective in an ever-changing market is to stay dynamic and ready to act. The example mentioned above can serve as a guide to help business owners or managers.

The shift from the current linear model of the economy to a circular one has recently attracted increased attention from major global companies, for example Google, Unilever, Renault and policy makers attending the World Economic Forum. The reasons for this are the enormous financial, social and environmental benefits. However, the global shift from one economic model to another also affects smaller companies at the micro level. Therefore, comprehensive knowledge on the design of circular business models is needed to stimulate and foster the implementation of the circular economy. Existing business models for the circular economy have limited portability and there is no comprehensive framework to support every type of business in designing a circular business model. This study uses a literature review to identify and classify the characteristics of the circular economy according to the structure of a business model. Research across the eight circular business model research sub-domains was used to redefine the components of the business model canvas in the context of the circular economy. Two new components have been identified, the feedback system and the adoption factors, leading to the conceptualization of an expanded framework for the circular business model. Furthermore, the triple bottom line challenge has been recognized as a facilitator of the transition towards a circular business model. Some directions for future research have also been outlined.
Switching from the current linear model of the economy to a circular one would not only generate savings of hundreds of billions of US dollars for the EU alone, but would also significantly reduce the negative impact on the natural environment [1, 2]. That is why the circular economy (CE) has attracted increased attention as one of the most powerful and recent movements towards sustainability [3, 4]. The transition to the circular economy involves four fundamental elements: materials and product design, new business models, global reverse networks, and enabling conditions [5]. Changing an economy to a circular one depends, on the one hand, on policy makers and their decisions [6]; on the other hand, it depends on business entities introducing circularity into their business models [7]. The scope of interest of this study is limited to the latest micro-level perspective of circular business model design.
Comprehensive knowledge on the design of circular business models is needed to stimulate and foster the implementation of the circular economy at the micro level. Existing knowledge provides several well-developed and verified business model frameworks, design patterns, and tools for building a business model [8, 9]. Although many case studies revealed various types of equity or circular business models [4, 7], these models have limited transferability. There are very few studies that cover, more fully, what a circular business model framework should look like. Instead, previous research has taken the following approaches: build on a business model canvas (BMC) and classify the characteristics of the product-service system according to its structure [10];
