Best Restaurants In Lebanon Ohio – The Golden Lamb received another small shout-out in the national media, the second in the past three months.

A popular Lebanese restaurant and inn that traces its history to 1803 was named one of five “Oldest Restaurants” in Ohio by Food & Wine magazine, in an article written by Food & Wine senior editor David Handsel titled “Best Old-Time Restaurants. the whole country.”

Golden Lamb was joined on the Ohio list by Price Hill Chili in Cincinnati, Lindey’s in Columbus,  and Lola and Sokolowski’s University Inn in Cleveland.

The magazine says that the Golden Lamb “has hosted twelve presidents during its long existence,” and says of its restaurant: “You can be nice, or you can eat fried chicken, like many others. do (good).”

The recognition comes hard after The Golden Lamb was named “Ohio’s Most Popular Restaurant” by msn.com in November 2019, in the website’s story titled “The Most Popular Restaurant in the State.” And in 2017, Thrillist named Golden Lamb Ohio’s “most popular restaurant”.

Who can argue with honors? After all, the Golden Lamb in Lebanon is not only an old Ohio residence, it is the oldest Buckeye business in continuous operation, boasting an 1803 establishment. And it recently completed its most significant investment in the last half century with the reopening of the newly renovated Black Horse Tavern.

In 2018, the Golden Lamb food team also began planting and cultivating their own farm, which now produces many of the ingredients for the restaurant’s locally inspired and seasonal menu.
