Nikon D3300 Dslr Camera
Upgraded my old Nikon D50 to D3300, entry level to entry level. The improvement from 6mp to 24mp seems like a pretty big improvement, but it was a bigger improvement than I expected. Custom settings can be easily made with the “i” button on the back of the camera, improving usability regardless of whether it is day or night. ISO sensitivities can be safely increased to 3200, meaning ultra-fast shutter speeds (1/4000s) when zooming, without compromising quality. Add in a huge selection of VR lenses and easy-to-use modes, and the photo quality is frankly amazing.All my old lenses worked fine with the new D3300, but I upgraded the zoom to 70-300VR. But it’s a very good lens and works very well with this camera. Quality – very good, no complaints Feeling – great, everything is where it should be, display is big, clear and friendly. Flash works perfectly. Image quality and resolution are excellent. It’s digitally editable and can be zoomed in further to its generous 24 megapixels. There’s a bit of softening, but far less than the old D50, so each pixel is sharper. Autofocus and tracking could be improved, but it’s still very good and much better than older cameras (or anything in the same price range). A nearly perfect camera at a fraction of the price of a slightly better camera.
This is a good Nikon D3300 DSLR, but the story ends there. The 18-55 lens is a real Nikon product, but the most basic version (without VR & AF on/off functionality). The rest of the accessories are cheap Chinese aftermarket which makes me hold my breath and wonder when it will get out of hand.The tripod in particular is very light and flimsy and holds a pocket point let alone a DSLR All in all, I think you get what you pay for, but don’t expect too much from this inexpensive collection please give me.
I love this product. It’s lightweight and has great features, but not so much that the camera’s more sophisticated feature options are difficult to use and learn. Easy to use in automatic mode, but also easy to understand how to use in manual, portrait, landscape or night mode. Highly recommend this camera.
Having owned several Nikon cameras over the years, I knew what to expect from the D3300. I’m new to astrophotography, so I wanted something suitable for manual control and real fine tuning.I also wanted the highest quality mirrors and imaging system. The D3300 was a state-of-the-art camera at the time and still fits nicely in an affordable photographer’s kit. If you can’t afford $1500 plus for a new Nikon, this was a great option for under $200.

I’m probably a little late making this review as I bought it shortly after it came out, but mine has continued to produce excellent photos over the years.I mostly got this because , if you don’t want to have old glass in your bag and don’t mind using manual mode, these F-mount lenses will work just fine. For the price I can’t knock it.
