Nurse Graduation Party Food Ideas – In addition to the hubs graduation party, I ran into this on the hosting blog. It is credited to Becquerel. She has a wonderful website with tips on everything, including this little daddy below! So incredibly simple and awesome!
My hubs is right in the middle of his college program to become a nurse, and I think it’s never too early to start thinking about a graduation party. This is the time of year when many students are graduating, so there is a lot of good stuff online. Because it is in a field that is dominated by women, there are not many ideas for a male nurse’s graduate subject. It will probably improve as the time approaches, but one thing that doesn’t change is that I don’t want to break with all the plans. So, like anything cheap, it will require some work, but doing most things is beneficial.

This adorable invitation from StationeryStudio.com is completely customizable—it allows it to be male or female, and also offers a host of different faces and colors. The bottom is also beautiful with the same words. I think I’ll probably use the wording of this invitation and do something more formal. The prescription bottle is one of the internet google image searches and I think if you send it by email it will cause some concern, so it might as well be delivered.
Nurse , Rn Graduation/end Of School Party Ideas
I think the invitation will include the above, but it’s made by Checkerboard from FineStationery.com.
I want it to be a more formal affair as opposed to an angry kigger, so I want to make an introduction for the guests. Everything shown matches his school colors and, of course, the whole nursing theme is thrown in with flair.
Food should be soft enough that people do not eat it. Good/interesting food will always get strangers talking to each other. I recommend looking into deli and catering options as well as these may be more cost effective and time efficient. I will also make another ‘main’ food item and more canapés as people drink, they will want meat.
As a nursing graduate, drink names can be a creative way to bring the topic back to food. Of course you need to serve the clear Bloody Mary drink in good glasses. Another would be a nice tasting sangria.
Nursing School Graduation Party
Obviously there will be beer, white and red wine, and shots named in honor of completing nursing school and being a student a colored fruit jello shot that can be made in any color and flavor, or a drink that I I’ll call it “The. All Night” shot containing Red Bull and alcohol, or “The Allergy Shot” (The Amazing Hulk recipe). People, at least my girlfriends, are ready for anything that looks fun and different.
Well, there’s tons more I’d like to add, but maybe it’ll be another one when he graduates with his masters. I can only hope so, lol!

Best Graduation Party Themes To Use This Year
Decorations are key to the overall atmosphere of the party. From silly medical jokes to glamorous flowers, there are endless possibilities when it comes to decorating your RN graduation party.
If you want to stick with the nursing theme, maybe choose a white and red color scheme and add some spice with these nurse scrub balloons.
Balloons are a must, of course. For a more stylish and fun theme, rose gold details will do the trick. Take a look at this beautiful RN balloon set for example.
You can even enhance your party with this adorable Nurse Balloon Garland kit that will wow your guests and serve as a beautiful backdrop for photos. It includes a bunch of rose gold, burgundy and confetti balloons, but we can always personalize it according to your chosen color scheme.
Graduation Finger Foods You Can Eat In One Bite
To further build on the theme, you can add table cloths on top of white details or cutlery. You can place attractive paper crafts as a centerpiece with a bright red and white color scheme, as well as large banners and other designs.
Offering delicious food and drinks can go a long way. But your guests will love it if you fill your dessert table with little nursing pins!
For example, take a look at this adorable spread: They have jello shot syringes and small bottles of Skittles surrounded by cookies designed as themes, strawberries as giant hearts, and cotton candy marshmallows. As balls. Such a creative way to make a party special!
There are lots of fun things you can add to your table to match your graduation theme, such as “blood bag” drink packets. You can also use custom plates and cups and nurse themed paper straws.
Nurse Theme Graduation/end Of School Party Ideas
Sure, there’s a lot of work involved in organizing a great nursing school graduation party. But with these fun ideas and a little creativity, you can throw a truly memorable party to celebrate this milestone. I can’t believe it’s been exactly a month since Skylar’s nursing school graduation party and I still have so much to show you. Pictures! Remember how we had rains? like this:
Well, it was the same week as the party. The day before it was sunny and 80. Day of the day like the picture above. A small problem for the backyard BBQ. It actually started raining at 3pm and the party was scheduled for 4. By 3:45 it was dry and looking very promising, so we went ahead and hurriedly threw all the tables and decorations outside. Fortunately, it cleared up for the most part and it didn’t rain until about 2 hours into the party, when everyone was gathered indoors. It all worked out in the end. ?
I had so much fun finding little details that I could add to the party to make it a little more memorable. Of course, Pinterest is a great source of inspiration. You can check out my Nursing Grad Party Pinterest board, or these two blogs I got ideas from: VixenMade and Today’s Letters.
Thankfully, my silk machine came in handy and was very useful for creating beautiful details. (I always ask Skylar to imagine if Silhouette was around when we got married…all the projects I dreamed up…she always responds with a sigh and a wink, and I’m sure God (A quiet thank you. Our marriage predates the Silk Road.)

I bought this adorable set of “Nurse Tools” shapes from Silk’s online store. I used a doll bottle shape and brown craft paper to cut out some bottle shapes for the invitation. Then in Photoshop, I designed a label that mimicked the prescription from ‘Anderson’s Pharmacy’, but it had all the details of the party (except I highlighted my personal details… Don’t worry, Nate and Brittany are a A pair is a pair. Made address. ;))
I loved it because it was quick and simple to make (just stuck the labels on the bottles and wrapped them (with love) in the envelope), but a cute and interesting detail. ?
Well, I’m the worst at decorating (even simple) cakes. I don’t really need to tell you though, you can just see for yourself:
The boxes are from Dollar Tree and I just used a mio slat to cut out the red crosses and attached them with foam sticks so they protrude a bit from the box. They reminded me of a nurse’s bag. ? I filled small medicine bags (also from Dollar Tree) in “nurse bags” from Mic N Ike.
Nurse Party Decor A Sweet Ending To A New Beginning Donut
Using a nurse’s tool silk bag, I made a long bead to hang on the back fence (this was probably my favorite part):
And, all of our wonderful friends who joined us and celebrated with us, despite the pouring rain for 2 hours at the BBQ!
A huge thank you to everyone who came to Skylar’s party to help us celebrate his great accomplishment in finishing the nursing program! (And a shout out to my friend Gina for being the photographer and taking all these great photos for me!)
